How to configure proxy server in Windows 8.1

A local proxy server can improve the performance of your broadband connection and sometimes even provide protection from malware infections. proxy settings has a key role to play.

Typically, you change proxy settings only when connecting to the Internet through a corporate network. By default, browsers like Internet Explorer automatically detects proxy settings. However, you may have to manually configure a proxy with information provided by your network administrator. Microsoft appears to have offered an alternative option here via Windows 8.1.

To configure proxy settings for Windows 8.1, press the key win + [C].├é Choose the ‘Settings’ icon and select ├é ┬źChange PC settings.

Then select the option in the left pane that says ‘Internet’.It is in this category that the configuration of the attorney.
